Warm up a mid-winter night with the sunny music of the NIU Steelpan Studio, an elite ensemble of the world-famous NIU Steelband. Despite its Caribbean origin, the steelpan can create music of any style, genre or era. Experience for yourself the range and lyrical power of these unique, hand-made percussion instruments.

In 1973, Northern Illinois University created the first steelpan studies program at an American university. Since then, the program has sustained its position of leadership and innovation under the direction of Liam Teague, a recognized virtuoso in the international steelpan community.

Join us as we begin our 2022 season of “Saturday Night Lights” concerts in the Collins Auditorium of the historic Baker Community Center in downtown St. Charles. Your $25 ticket includes two coupons for complimentary beverages of your choice, including beer, wine and soft drinks. Your $30 ticket includes four beverage coupons.

We appreciate the collaboration of the St. Charles Park District, and we thank our season sponsor, Meyers & Flowers Trial Attorneys.
