Watercolor 2026 Honors Nine Artists

Nine artists were recognized with Awards of Excellence or Honorable Mention for their works exhibited in the Watercolor 2026 show in the Norris Gallery. The awarded artists were honored at a public reception March 15 in the gallery. Watercolor 2026 remains on display until April 12. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday through Saturday. Admission is free.

Award of Excellence winners are Daniel Danielson for “Temple Gate,” Fatima Figueiredo for “Forgotten by Time,” and Laurel McGuire for “Ends of the Earth.”

Cited for Honorable Mention are Jacqueline DeClute for “Autumn Chroma,” Debra Freerksen for “Winder Holiday,” Mary Ellen Segraves for “Northwoods Morning,” Pattie Linden Seifrid for “Ephraim Crossing,” Thomas Trausch for “Walter and Martha,” and Rosalie White for “Upstream.”

The official show judge is Megan Ripke.

Works shown below (top to bottom) are “Temple Gate” by Daniel Danielson, “Blue Stillness” by Fatima Figueiredo, and “Ends of the Earth” by Laurel McGuire.
