  • The Norris Gallery uses the Walker hanging system for 2D work. Saw tooth hangers cannot be used with this system. 2D work must be framed with hangers attached to the back of the work and connected with flexible hanging wire. 2D work cannot exceed 3’ x 3’ or equivalent dimensions. 2D work cannot weigh more than 40 pounds including glass or plexiglass and frame.
  • There are three options to display 3D work:
  • Smaller 3D work must fit in the locked glass display case and cannot exceed 20” tall x 18” wide x 12” deep, and a maximum weight of 20 pounds.
  • Medium size 3D work can be displayed on pedestals provided by the artist or on one of the gallery pedestals (we have a limited number and size of pedestals – check with the gallery in advance.) Work cannot exceed 30 pounds and must be easily carried by gallery volunteers.
  • Larger 3D work must be free-standing and be able to be displayed on the gallery floor. All larger work must fit through the gallery doors and must be easily moved by gallery volunteers.
  • Display devices such as jewelry stands must be provided by the artist.
  • If special display instructions are needed, such as for a diptych or triptych, artist must provide the instructions with the work. Volunteers will try to accommodate display requests.
  • Information about the “Artful Antics” judge will be posted on the Norris website in October.
  • Artists agree to allow NCAC to photograph and otherwise promote the artists and the exhibit in the Norris Gallery’s printed, online and social media formats.
